We had a busy first day of our double weekend! I’m seeing some great photos from today. Don’t forget the balloon arch is available tomorrow as well. The shed will be open from 7:30am and the arch will be removed at 1pm. I did notice today everyone seemed to have the same idea on what times to get photos so just make sure you allow your team enough time.

Thank you to all the wonderful parent helpers from today. Unfortunately we did have a few no shows. This puts added pressure on committee. We only ask for 2 duties per player for the season, it extremely important if you are rostered on that you either show up or swap with another parent please.

If you are the last team to play on a field then you are responsible for packing up that field. If you are not sure if its you, please check the schedule on the field board next to the canteen or just come and ask. It seemed to be mostly coaches and managers packing up today- it’s the responsibility of the whole team so please don’t just leave it to the same individuals all the time.

Coaches and Managers- please remember to wear your tags. I still have a few not collected, if one belongs to you please come and see me at the miniroos table tomorrow. We did get a reminder from a HVF representative today and we will be enforcing the no tag/no sideline rule going forward.

Lastly for our miniroo teams- please remember miniroos is supposed to be fun and fair for all. If your team is winning by quite a bit then please try and even it up a bit. There are many ways to do this without it being a disadvantage to your team. somw examples are letting the other team have an extra player on the field or tell your team everyone has to touch the ball before the team can score. This not only makes it fun for both teams but it helps challenge your team and makes them better players.
