Update on the final games

Last night HVF sent out an email from the joint zones outlining their 2 plans for finishing the season. Neither plan is locked in yet, and they are both still subject to change but as other clubs have jumped the gun and started sharing anyway, I have attached the email. We should have more of an idea end of week.

At this stage they are waiting on local councils to advise if extending the season is even possible. Most clubs, like ours, share the facilities with summer groups. If we extend the season we will start impeding on their time.

The other huge factor to take into account is the weather. It’s all well and good to extend the season but if it doesn’t stop raining, we can play games anyway.

I want to stress that NEITHER plan is locked in. They are both subject to change at any time.

We all want to get all games played were possible. Scheduling has always been out of the club’s hands and will continue be, even more so over the next few weeks. Miniroos games will only be scheduled for weekend dates, Comp games will be weekends or weeknights. There is also the possibility that games will be moved to alternate grounds- for example if Tenambit are open they may have to host other club’s games. This will put added stress on other clubs already stretched pretty thin at this point of the season.

As we deal with this unpredictable weather, draws will be changing constantly. I understand this can be frustrating. If you know you can’t make new date’s please make sure you reach out to your coach or manager asap to let them know, so subs etc. can be organised.

As soon as I know more, I will let you know.
